Land Acknowledgement

CUPE Local 3060 respects the treaties that were made on these lands and acknowledge that the workplaces that make up CUPE Local 3060 are all located on Treaty 2 Lands. CUPE Local 3060 welcomes you to the traditional homelands of the Dakota and Metis peoples.

We acknowledge and respect the history, land and the people of this area.

A territorial or land acknowledgement is an act of reconciliation that involves making a statement recognizing the traditional territory of the Indigenous people who called the land home before the arrival of settlers, and in many cases Indigenous people still do call it home. CUPE Local 3060 recognizes its lack of action in the past, but promises to work in solidarity to do better in the future.
